Lucerna-NY offers exquisitely designed, handmade jewelry that tells a story of timeless elegance and individuality. Complementing our jewelry line, in our small atelier we offer hand dipped and hand poured beeswax candles made from the most aromatic wildflower beeswax and we offer a line of natural soaps, all created in small batches. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our craft with you.

Our Story

At Lucerna, we believe in the beauty of tradition, craftsmanship, and self reliance. What started as a winter project teaching my young children to hand dip and pour pure beeswax candles has grown into a flourishing family business.Born and raised in central New Jersey, I initially pursued a corporate career, becoming a product manager for internet business products. As I had my first child I felt deep down a calling to move into a more rural environment to raise and homeschool my four children, reconnect with life’s essentials growing food, raising animals, cooking from scratch and creating by hand. I wanted to gain and pass this knowledge to my children, teaching them not only the skills to sustain themselves but also the tools to build and manage a business.

In those early days, we would hand dip candles, carve wooden toys and cutting boards, and process sheepskins for yarn and rugs. Alongside these efforts, my children learned to raise meat animals, dye wool yarn with plant based materials, and garden sustainably. These values became the cornerstone of Lucerna, a brand built on family, hard work and a passion for creating.
